Two Virginia parents were arrested after their third-grade son brought an unsecured handgun to school, which accidentally discharged during class. Ciara Armstead and Terrence Carroll Jr. face misdemeanor and felony charges for recklessly endangering their child.
The incident occurred at Lee Hill Elementary School, where no injuries were reported. The child found the gun at home and placed it in his backpack. Both parents were released on bond and are scheduled for arraignment. The child will not face charges.
