GB News: Jeremy Clarkson labelled 'hideous bully' by PETA as he adds unusual animal to pub menu
Jeremy Clarkson labelled 'hideous bully' by PETA as he adds unusual animal to pub menu
Jeremy Clarkson is facing backlash from PETA for including squirrel on the menu at his Cotswolds pub, The Farmer's Dog, during a special "Dare Night" event. PETA has labeled him a "hideous bully" for using wildlife in what they call a "pub stunt" for shock value.

The event will feature unusual dishes, including pan-fried brains and lamb's hearts, and Clarkson has promoted it as an opportunity to try "weird things." He clarified that the event is not for vegans or the faint-hearted. This is not the first time Clarkson has clashed with PETA over animal welfare issues.

Fox News: Mikal Mahdi, South Carolina inmate convicted in two separate 2004 murders, executed by firing squad
Mikal Mahdi, South Carolina inmate convicted in two separate 2004 murders, executed by firing squad
Mikal Mahdi, 42, was executed by firing squad in South Carolina after his appeals were denied by state and federal courts. Convicted of murdering off-duty police officer James Myers and convenience store clerk Christopher Boggs in 2004, Mahdi chose this method over lethal injection or the electric chair.

This execution is the second firing squad death in South Carolina in five weeks and the fifth overall in eight months. Following Mahdi's execution, the state has 26 inmates remaining on death row.
