A YouGov survey reveals Queen Elizabeth II as Britain's most popular monarch since 1066, with an 82% approval rating. Queen Victoria follows with 62%, while King Charles III has a mixed reception at 57% favorable but a 30% negative rating, ranking seventh in net favorability.
The survey also highlights that many historical monarchs are largely unknown to the public, with 32 out of 43 rulers polled lacking sufficient recognition. The study, conducted in January 2025, included responses from 10,505 adults across Great Britain.
