The Telegraph: Ukraine assassinates ‘traitor’ ex-MP in Russia
A former Ukrainian MP, Illia Kyva, was shot dead in Moscow by Ukraine's security service (SBU). Kyva, who fled Ukraine before the invasion, was sentenced in absentia for high treason and criticized Ukraine on Russian TV talk shows. Ukrainian sources confirmed the SBU's involvement in his assassination. Another Russian-installed politician in Ukraine's Luhansk region, Oleg Popov, was killed in a car-bombing, following a similar attack on politician Mikhail Filiponenko. Kyiv claimed responsibility for Filiponenko's death, and the region has been under Russian occupation since Putin's invasion.

The Federalist: The Problem With Elite Complaints About Elite Schools
Campus leaders refuse to condemn calls for Jewish genocide, claiming it depends on "context." Billionaire Bill Ackman criticizes them, questioning why antisemitism has grown. Some argue the issue lies with the DEI regime itself, which is illegitimate. The divide on Israel is one of the few where elite opinion is split. The cultural relativist position dominates education and media, while moral relativism erodes Western values. If serious about solving the problem, leaders must reevaluate their own values. America cannot build a future on this foundation.
The Federalist: Most Insufferable Woman Wins Time's 'Person Of The Year'
Media darling Taylor Swift was named Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" despite her music being objectively uncomplicated and repetitive. Her lyrics center around her numerous past relationships, often exploiting them for profit and public humiliation. Swift's popularity is largely attributed to her being a controllable and easily influenced figure who aligns with left-leaning politics and promotes a single-lady lifestyle. Despite her mediocrity, Democrats and the media see her as a valuable asset for their own agendas. []
Fox News: Final version of AP African American studies course ditches CRT, leaves in Kaepernick, Black feminism
The College Board's AP African American studies course has been revised to remove focus on critical race theory and LGBTQ issues, but still includes content on Black feminism and Colin Kaepernick's anti-police protest. The revisions were made after Florida's Department of Education and Gov. Ron DeSantis pressured the College Board to cut controversial topics from the curriculum. The final version includes mentions of systemic oppression and marginalization, as well as the option to teach about the Black Lives Matter movement and discussions on intersectionality. Critics argue that the course still includes controversial content.

Flag And Cross: New Study By Lancaster University Reveals The Crucial Role Of Seabird Droppings In Coral Recovery
Seabirds can aid coral reef recovery from bleaching incidents caused by climate change. Their guano, rich in nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorous, acts as fertilizer for the coral, allowing reefs near seabird colonies to bounce back faster compared to those farther away. An international study found that Acropora coral, which supports fish populations and protects coastal areas, recovered 10 months faster when seabirds were present. Islands with slower coral growth had large rat populations, which disrupted the nutrient supply. Restoring seabird populations could help boost reef resilience in the face of a warming planet.
