Angela Madden, the Waspi chair, has voiced strong determination to pursue this legal action, criticizing the government's rejection of the ombudsman's findings. The government admits to past communication failures but insists that no direct financial loss was suffered by the affected women.

Parliamentary action may emerge in the New Year, possibly leading to a vote on the compensation issue.
