Genesis, part of Hyundai Group, has developed a new heated windscreen technology that can clear ice in just five minutes, three times faster than traditional methods. This innovation combines metal-coated heated glass with a 48-volt system, enhancing safety and convenience for winter driving.
The technology also offers energy efficiency, consuming 10% less power than conventional systems, which is beneficial for electric vehicles. It includes a solar reflection feature to maintain cooler cabin temperatures in summer. While not yet available in production vehicles, patents have been filed for its wider implementation.
