Texas troopers catch smuggler who allegedly carried 5-year-old girl across border
A man was arrested in Del Rio, Texas, for allegedly smuggling a 5-year-old girl from Mexico into the U.S. after a traffic stop revealed the child had been carried across the Rio Grande and loaded into a smuggler's vehicle. The girl's mother, a temporary resident of North Carolina, reportedly paid $8,000 for the smuggling.

The suspect, Roman Ibarra Rojo, confessed he would receive $1,000 for the act. The mother may face charges for endangering her child, pending the district attorney's decision. Texas DPS confirmed Rojo had a prior arrest for smuggling.

IDF reacts to Hezbollah truce violations; France said accusing Israel of transgressions
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to enforce a ceasefire in Lebanon, responding to violations by Hezbollah with airstrikes and troop actions. The ceasefire, established to end over a year of conflict, requires both Hezbollah and Israeli forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon.

Despite claims from France of 52 violations by Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserts that the IDF will respond decisively to any breaches. The conflict, which began with Hezbollah's unprovoked attacks on Israel in October 2023, has resulted in significant casualties on both sides, with thousands of Hezbollah operatives reportedly killed.
