Israel is facing growing pressure for a ceasefire and is aware of international initiatives against them that could threaten the continuation of the war. The IDF may have to recalibrate its ground offensive at some point in response to international pressure. The government is also considering tracking down Hamas's commanders outside of Gaza and families of victims have filed a "crimes against humanity" case against Hamas at the International Criminal Court.
