Fox News: Back to normal on Capitol Hill: House focuses on partisan revenge
Back to normal on Capitol Hill: House focuses on partisan revenge
Everything is back to normal on Capitol Hill. The House is functioning again after more than three weeks. It finally elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. And that means lawmakers are back to doing what they do best: attacking one another and debating whether to expel or sanction fellow colleagues. Sure, moments after the House finally installed Johnson, it approved a measure to condemn Hamas. The House also plowed through the annual energy & water spending bill. But the real action came when Members planned to take revenge on one another. In other words, business as usual for Congress. The House had barely caught its breath when Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt., took to the floor as well. Not to be outdone, Balint proposed censuring Greene for "fanning the flames of racism, anti-Semitism, hate speech against the LBGTQ community, Islamophobia, Asian hate, xenophobia and other forms of hate," said Balint. She also claimed that Greene perpetuated "conspiracy theories related to the January 6 attack on the Capitol, which sought to halt the peaceful transfer of power." The Congressional Research Service (CRS) describes censure as "a formal, majority vote in the House on a resolution disapproving of a Member’s conduct. Censure is the second-most serious form of discipline in the House, falling between reprimand and expulsion. A Member must stand in the well of the House chamber and face a verbal rebuke by the House Speaker when censured.

Where’s the Outrage over the American Citizens Still Held Hostage by Hamas?
A number of American citizens are still being held by Hamas in Gaza, following a deadly terrorist attack that claimed 33 American lives. The media coverage of this crisis has been subdued, and there appears to be a lack of interest within the Biden administration. The federal government needs to prioritize the rescue and release of these American hostages, as it is their responsibility to represent and protect the United States and its people in the world. The failure to address this issue effectively sends a message to the world about the value of American citizenship.

Do-It-Yourself Project (DIY) - Custom Gun Case Foam Replacement

Eugene L. provides two (or three) methods for custom foam replacement in gun cases. The first method involves using white polyfoam from a hobby store and cutting it to fit the dimensions of the case and the gun. The foam is then coated with black spray can Plasti Dip for a secure and snug fit. The second method involves using polyethylene closed-cell foam, tracing and cutting it to fit the necessary dimensions. Unlike the first method, it does not require the additional step of coating the foam. Lastly, Eugene suggests using a beach towel in a pinch, creating makeshift spots for the gun, magazines, and ammunition. He also provides some air travel tips for safely carrying firearms.

Daily Wire: Taylor Swift Re-Recording Albums Success Sparks Changes To Record Label Contracts
Taylor Swift Re-Recording Albums Success Sparks Changes To Record Label Contracts
Record labels like Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and Universal Music Group have changed their contracts to prevent artists from re-recording their music, in response to Taylor Swift's success in re-recording her earlier albums. These new contracts impose a waiting period of 10-30 years or, in some cases, prohibit re-recording altogether. Attorneys have expressed surprise and concern over these new restrictions, but acknowledge that labels are trying to address the impact of Swift's actions. This trend is driven by the fear that re-recordings will devalue the original recordings and the struggle between artists and labels over control of master recordings.
