Jimmy Uso vs. AJ Styles

WWE SmackDown advertised AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Uso following their backstage confrontation last week. SmackDown also advertised Charlotte Flair and Shotzi vs. Damage CTRL and the Brawling Brutes vs. new tag team champions Judgment Day.

Last week’s broadcast of WWE SmackDown, with the return of John Cena, garnered 2.443 million viewers.

Iyo Sky was distracted by Asuka playing with her title, which is a silly way to set up what should be a great match...next week.

Shotzi is quietly putting together a win streak in this one-sided feud against Bayley. Problem is, it always seems to come in the midst of so many other things happening during the finish.

The LA Knight push is in full swing. Crowds are still hot for him—namely an A-market like Boston—and more importantly, he’s finally winning matches.

I’m glad Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were not a one-off. They can be like the white Street Profits. The Cul de Sac Profits.

Waller and Theory were dubbed “A-Town Down Under,” which I guess makes sense but I like my name better.

Backstage, LA Knight had a run-in with Paul Heyman. Heyman kissed up to LA Knight despite recently calling him a flash in the pan. Heyman then got serious and told Knight to never interrupt him again. Don’t hold your breath for LA Knight vs. Roman Reigns anytime soon, but if that’s a Royal Rumble match, Knight would be like Sami Zayn in Montreal.

WWE announced John Cena will appear on the Grayson Waller Effect next week.

Poor Mike Rome screwed up the ring introductions for Judgment Day, and Corey Graves didn’t miss a beat in burying him.

You could barely hear Dominik Mysterio during his promo. Boston came with it tonight.

Damian Priest dissed both the Bloodline and Roman Reigns by saying the Judgment Day did something that they can’t by beating Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. The problem with that remark is that Roman Reigns literally beat both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. ,

This promo made me realize that The Bloodline vs. The Judgment Day could be a great Survivor Series Elimination Match. Unfortunately for them, Jey Uso left the tribe.

The Brawling Brutes continue to be slotted in the “good match that they’ll inevitably lose” role, especially without Sheamus.

The heel Judgment Day was confronted by the Heel Street Profits and Lashley faction that still acts like babyfaces. It was so confusing.

Lashley agreed that the Bloodline is crumbling (a narrative WWE is getting far too comfortable with), but Bobby and the Street Profits would be taking over.

Jimmy Uso trying to get back in the good graces with the Bloodline makes the character seem so weak. If they turn on him, there might be no coming back.

WWE continues to tease dissension within The O.C. as the Good Brothers are set to turn on Styles any day now.

Heyman said Solo Sikoa was not here tonight, only to show up in the main event alongside Solo Sikoa.

Sikoa refused to make eye contact with Jimmy during the entire match, to the point where Solo literally turned his back on Jimmy.

The Judgment Day, currently in its second honeymoon phase, attacked AJ Styles after the match and fed him to Solo. Once again, the O.C. was nowhere to be found.
