The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner found his happily-ever-after with Theresa Nist, a woman he said made him fall in love again "for the first time since 1968.” Now that Gerry’s chapter has closed, what about the women who competed for his heart all season long? Will there be a Golden Bachelorette?

Gerry has previously voiced support for a Golden Bachelorette season. "I have no say in it, just to be clear, but I think it would be exciting because it's going to continue the theme that we've started off being hopeful and being visible at our age," Gerry told People after the Women Tell All taping in November.

He continued that all of the women on his season would deserve the title. "Each one of them has a certain personality that would make a show interesting, and charm, and they're all intelligent, so there's no bad choice," he added.

Will there be a Golden Bachelorette? The answer is we’re not sure. ABC has not yet announced whether there will be a Golden Bachelorette season. However, Producer Jason Erlich told The Hollywood Reporter in early November that he hopes the franchise “continues to expand.”

“People are really liking the stories that we’re telling, and so I’m really interested to see. It will be different; it will be almost like doing it for the first time all over again with The Golden Bachelorette,” he explained. “What is it going to be like with 20-some older men living in the Bachelor Mansion? We don’t know, but I’m pretty sure it will be different and interesting. And that’s what makes me want to watch.”

Who will be the next Golden Bachelorette? Although the finalists are the most likely to be cast as future leads, there’s at least one woman who left early on who could get chosen to find love.

The producers could easily pick Leslie Fhima, the runner-up for Gerry’s season. Hailing from Minneapolis, the 64-year-old has lived an action-packed life; she was a former professional figure skater, has run 10 marathons, and casually dated Prince when she was younger. Plus, we all want to see her find the person of her dreams!

Joan decided to leave the competition early because of a family emergency, but many fans want to see her journey continue as the Golden Bachelorette. Vassos admitted in an interview with Insider that she would be interested in the job.

"I also wouldn't hate more than one Bachelorette,” she added. “I think that we'd be good together. I mean, it's obvious that we're very supportive of each other and there's no animosity when something great happens to each other.”

Ellen Goltzer’s elimination hit a little too hard, especially when so many thought she would make it into the finals.
