Divimara Lamar Nava, identified by law enforcement as Oropesa’s wife, is in custody as authorities believe she hid him in the home where he was later arrested, according to Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson.

Nava had previously told law enforcement she didn’t know where he had been hiding while they continued their hunt and had “no leads,” Henderson told AP; police continued to warn that Oropesa was likely armed and dangerous.

Oropesa was arrested Tuesday “without incident” at about 7 p.m. local time in Conroe, Texas in Montgomery County after an anonymous tip identified his location, the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement; he was found hiding in a closet underneath laundry.

Oropesa had been eluding law enforcement since Friday when he was suspected of killing five people, including a nine-year-old, execution style after he was asked to stop shooting his gun in his yard.

Though the sheriff identified Nava as Oropesa’s wife, she is listed in the jail records as not married.

“Several arrests” have been made in connection with Oropesa’s capture Tuesday, Chief Deputy Tim Kean of the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday at a press conference, CNN reported.

The shooting took place in Cleveland, Texas, after Oropesa’s neighbors asked him to stop shooting his rifle late Friday night because a child in their house was trying to sleep, CNN reported. Oropesa allegedly refused to stop shooting, went to the neighbors’ house and killed five people ranging in age from nine to 31. Local law enforcement and the FBI were offering $80,000 for tips leading to his arrest and AP reported that as recently as Tuesday morning law enforcement didn’t have an idea of where could be.
