Doug Collins represented northeast Georgia in the U.S. House from 2013 to 2021, establishing himself as one of Donald Trump’s top defenders.
Samuel Corum/Getty ImagesDoug Collins, Donald Trump’s veterans affairs secretary, sold his condominium in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida for $710,000 on Friday, according to property records. Collins sold the condo to a Michigan couple after owning it for just over three years.
Collins purchased the unit in April 2022 for $685,000. He bought and sold the property under Georgia Belle Properties LLC, a company listed as his own on a financial disclosure report he filed in January.
The beachfront condo, which the secretary rented out for extra money, was one of his most valuable assets.
Collins also owns a residence in Gainesville, Georgia, worth over $1 million. That 3,300-square-foot home has a pool and access to Lake Lanier.
Collins isn’t the only official in Trump’s cabinet to offload property recently. JD Vance sold his Virginia home to a lobbyist and government contractor in March for $1.9 million.
Representatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs did not respond to a request for comment.
