Trump again said in the post that abortion rights should be “up to the States,” but reiterated Arizona’s Supreme Court “went too far” in its ruling to allow an 1864 abortion ban to go back into effect.

Earlier in the week, the former president told reporters he thought Arizona went too far and said, “I think it’ll be straightened out.”

He called on the Arizona legislature to “use HEART, COMMON SENSE, and ACT IMMEDIATELY, to remedy what has happened.”

Trump also falsely claimed in the post that Democrats support abortion “up to the moment of birth, and even execution of Babies, in some cases, after birth,” when, in actuality, late term abortions are rare and typically done to protect a mother’s life.

0.9%. That’s the percentage of abortions performed at 21 weeks or later in a pregnancy in 2021—the last year with available data—according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 93% of abortions were performed in the first 13 weeks or earlier.
