


Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday banned former President Donald Trump from disparaging witnesses, prosecutors, jurors and court staff in his hush money case as it’s set to go to trial on April 15—hours after Trump attacked Merchan, his daughter, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and several others associated with the case.

The gag order—which Bragg requested—prohibits Trump from making public statements about prosecutors other than Bragg, jurors and prospective jurors, and staff working in the DA’s office or court and their family members “if those statements are made with the intent to materially interfere with . . . counsel’s staff or work in this criminal case.”
The order comes hours after Trump attacked Merchan, Bragg, Merchan’s daughter and the prosecution’s star witness, former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, in a series of Truth Social posts.
