Trump’s lawyer reportedly asked Judge Arthur Engoron if the former president could speak during the trial’s closing remarks on Thursday and Engoron agreed he could, according to multiple news outlets.
Trump, his associates and the Trump Organization are on trial in a case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James who claims the former president fraudulently inflated assets in order to make Trump’s net worth appear higher.
