Former President Donald Trump blasted Fox News on Wednesday, accusing the network of unwarranted positive coverage of his GOP primary rivals—hours before he’s set to make a live appearance on the network for the first time in two years.

Trump questioned on Truth Social why Fox continues to cover a “Fake CNN Poll,” an apparent reference to Tuesday’s CNN survey that shows former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley within single digits of Trump in the New Hampshire GOP primary, calling the survey a “fake outlier.”

Trump also attacked “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy, accusing him of “desperately trying to save DeSanctimonious, a sinking ship,” adding “whatever happened to that guy???”

Trump was apparently reacting to Doocy’s comments Wednesday speculating whether the resources Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign has invested into Iowa will lead to a better-than-expected performance in the Iowa caucuses on Monday.

The CNN/University of New Hampshire poll released Tuesday showed Haley trailing Trump, 32% to 39%, in New Hampshire, representing a 12-point swing for the former South Carolina governor since the previous poll taken in November. Trump still leads the GOP primary field nationally by a wide margin, however, and is ahead of DeSantis by more than 30 points in Iowa, according to FiveThirtyEight’s poll tracker, despite DeSantis pouring significant resources into the state, including visiting all 99 counties and earning an endorsement from Gov. Kim Reynolds.

Fox News will host Trump for a town hall Wednesday evening as a counterprogram to the CNN debate between Haley and DeSantis.
