Fortnite has really gone all out for Halloweeen/Fortnitemares this year, racking up more collabs than we’ve ever seen before for a single event. The game is so overloaded with them now that it’s almost hard to keep track, but this year? They’ve lined up a spooky/horrifying batch that are going to be worth picking up. Some of them, anyway.
According to new leaks from @SpushFNBR, we know which Fortnite skins are coming when, minus a few entries that remain up in the air. So, here’s the list as we know it so you can prepare your wallets:
Doja Cat – Thursday, October 9 (today)
Ghostface (Scream) – Friday, October 10
Shaggy and Scooby Doo – Saturday, October 11
Mystery Machine Van – Tuesday, October 14
The Grabber (Black Phone) – Thursday, October 16
Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) – Friday, October 17
Velma, Daphne and Fred – Saturday, October 18
The four collabs that we don’t have dates for yet, which presumably will be after this batch, are Art the Clown from Terrifier and Wednesday Addams from Wednesday, who does, in fact, have actress Jenna Ortega’s likeness. The third is R.E.P.O. from a video game I genuinely have never heard of. The fourth is Poppy Playtime from a game of the same name, which was first released in 2021. Really going to some interesting places for these collabs, I have to say.
I’m trying to think of other classic horror characters that Fortnite doesn’t have yet. The ones that come to mind:
I forgot that Fortnite already did a few classic ones like Michael Myers and Leatherface outside of any specific horror event. I do love how Doja Cat is just thrown in here with the others and is now a map boss. There was a bit of a horrific event yesterday when Doja Cat allegedly took over the Fortnite Twitter account to promote her collab, then it tweeted something that appeared to be about a sex toy. Doja Cat took to Twitter to be extremely mad about this, saying she didn’t tweet it and Epic was making her look bad (clearly, there was a list of pre-written tweets, and somehow that got on the list). It was pretty funny.
Anyway, there’s your list of skins and dates, and I will update it when other ones come in for the remaining collabs.
