One of the big complaints I hear from gamers about the modern era of Call Of Duty games tends to center around the Operator skins. There are so many goofy skins out there, ranging from superheroes to Easter Bunnies, that anyone hoping to get a military-like experience (aka mil-sim) is out of luck.

A part of me understands this, and I think it would be cool to have ‘mil-sim’ modes that only allowed that style of Operator skins. Another part of me is fully aware that Call Of Duty simply isn’t a mil-sim to begin with and that for years now the most popular skins are also the most ridiculous.

Perhaps the most ridiculous of these is the World Series Of Warzone Rat Pack—not named after the famous group of singers, like Frank Sinatra, but after a literal rat Operator skin. This bundle is currently free for Amazon Prime members and comes with all this cheesy nonsense:

Included in the bundle:

This is a pretty great deal (since it’s free) even if you never use the Cheesy Reyes skin. The two weapon blueprints are pretty good. I think the Vel 46 is one of the best SMGs in the game. And you get Double XP tokens.

Sure, it’s a ridiculous bundle, but it’s so over the top it works. And it’s free.

It’s also good timing. The Whisker Tango bundle is on the way, and you can play cat-and-mouse 1v1 custom games with a buddy if you each have one of these:

Are these totally absurd? Yes. Do I think that a savvy game publisher with a really good no-nonsense military FPS could make a fortune and apply competitive pressure on Activision? Yes, that too.
