This brand new dramedy starring Tom Hanks is making its SVOD debut on Netflix. Directed by Marc Forster, A Man Called Otto stars Hanks as Otto Anderson, an old grump who has effectively given up on life after losing his wife. Everything changes when a young family moves in next door and he forms an unlikely friendswhip with the pregnant wife, Marisol. The film also stars Truman Hanks (Tom’s son), Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller and Mack Bayda. This light fare will make you laugh while tugging at your heartstrings.

This is about as controversial as they come for Netflix, as Jada Pinkett Smith caused an uproar in Egypt after accepting to portray the famous Queen Cleopatra. The series follows Egypt’s last Pharaoh as she fights to protect her throne, family and legacy. The scripted show featuring reenactments also bolsters interviews with experts in Cleopatra’s history.

This Norwegian young adult film from Per-Olav Sørensen follows Princess Margrethe (Elli Rhiannon Müller Osborne) as she deals with controversy. As the aftershocks of her explosive prom scandal continue to reverberate, Margrethe desperately seeks the elusive allure of normalcy. Amidst the turmoil, she grapples with the challenge of preserving her immaculate facade, all while navigating the treacherous waters of family drama.

Created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Seth Meyers, Documentary Now! is a hilarious mockumentary series that spoofs iconic documentaries and documentary styles. Each episode, hosted by Helen Mirren, features a unique parody of a famous documentary, with celebrities like Alexander Skarsgård, Cate Blanchett and Jonathan Pryce taking on roles. From exploring the lives of obscure musicians to uncovering bizarre cults, Documentary Now! delivers laugh-out-loud moments and razor-sharp satire that will delight fans of both documentaries and comedies.

Directed by Theodore Melfi, St. Vincent is a heartwarming comedy-drama that tells the story of a young boy named Oliver, played by Jaeden Martell, who forms an unlikely friendship with his curmudgeonly neighbor, Vincent, portrayed by Bill Murray. As Vincent becomes an unconventional mentor to Oliver, the two learn valuable life lessons from each other.
