As we head into a fresh week, one thing remains certain: there's no shortage of streaming options on Netflix NFLX . If you're an avid Netflix subscriber like me, you'll know the thrill that comes with discovering new releases, the pleasure of diving into fresh narratives, and the anticipation of the next binge-worthy spectacle. Let's face it, amidst the labyrinth of content that Netflix unfurls each week, it can be daunting to distill the gems from the dross.

That's where I come in. Consider this your weekly guide, curated with care, designed to spotlight the cream of the crop. In the first section, I’ll highlight the best new movies and shows available this week. Then I’ll pick out the best options leaving Netflix (there are a lot of movies disappearing this week). And finally, at the bottom of this article, you’ll find a full list of all the new options coming and going over the next seven days.

If you’re interested in reading my weekly-updated all-time movie rankings, check them out here.

Bridgerton has been, without a doubt, one of the most viral series to ever grace Netflix. So, naturally, some parallel shows infused with the Shonda Rhimes formula were on their way. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story follows the very woman in the title (played by India Ria Amarteifio). The limited series follows the young queen’s marriage to King George of England (Corey Mylchreest) and the epic love story that followed.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will be available to stream on May 4, 2023.

The latest wild ride from Blumhouse promises all of the thrills and scares we’ve come to expect from the incredibly successful studio. Directed by Beth de Araujo, this one-take flick follows an elementary schoolteacher named Emily (Stefanie Estes) who organizes a mixer of like-minded women, only for someone from the past to show up and wreak havoc.

Soft & Quiet will be available to stream on May 1, 2023.

The Matchmaking series continues on Netflix with Jewish Matchmaking. Much like the show that preceded it, Indian Matchmaking, matchmaker Aleeza Ben Shalom brings singles from the United States and Israel together through the traditional practice of shidduchim dating in the hopes of establishing a lifelong love connection.

Season 1 of Jewish Matchmaking will be available to stream on May 3, 2023.

The Austin Powers trilogy is a riotous trip through time courtesy of the inimitable Mike Myers, who doubles as the suave British spy and his arch-nemesis, Dr. Evil. Director Jay Roach crafts a colorful pastiche of 60s kitsch, imbued with boundless wit and irreverence. It's a comedic rollercoaster that revels in its own delightful absurdity.

Pawn shop programs have become all the rage lately, with people hoping to unearth a valuable gem from their collection. Often on those shows, as well as Antiques Roadshow, you’ll find some insane collections. In that vein comes King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch, in which Goldin (who runs the “leading collectibles marketplace) and his savvy team run the thrilling action in this series that goes inside a leading auction house specializing in rare collectibles.

King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch will be available to stream on April 28, 2023.

Helmed by the master of street-savvy narratives, Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen is a labyrinthine crime story brimming with sharp dialogue and swagger. At one time, it was rare for a Netflix series to exit the platform. But it seems to be happening more and more lately as Netflix grows its library, and this time Uncoupled is getting the axe. Starring Neil Patrick Harris, this romance follows his character Michael, who must learn to date again and find a new match after his partner of 17 years moves out on him.

Your last day to watch Uncoupled is April 1, 2023.

King Kong is a timeless masterpiece of cinema, with Peter Jackson at its helm. Judd Apatow's This is 40 deftly explores the complexities of middle-aged life through the lens of humor and honesty.
