Police identified the suspected driver as Sai Varshith Kandula, a 19-year-old from Chesterfield, Missouri.

Kandula faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, trespassing and threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict harm on the president, vice president, their family and federal property.
