Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour has quickly become one of the highest-grossing treks of the year. Known for her immense popularity, getting tickets to Swift’s latest shows has been a challenging task for fans. But now, the superstar has exciting news for her global fan base as she expands her tour and takes it to new places.

Swift announced on social media on Friday (June 2) that The Eras Tour is now officially a worldwide effort, with the singer-songwriter set to perform in Central and South America.

Mexico City (Mexico), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo (Brazil) will play host to Taylor Swift as she brings her production to these cities. With the addition of these four locales, Swift has expanded her run with eight more concerts, and it seems like this may just be the beginning of her newly-international tour.

Expressing her excitement, Swift shared the news on social media, saying, "Really thrilled to tell you this!! Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year!" Along with her announcement, she also posted an updated tour poster featuring the dates, cities, and venues. Swift's enthusiasm was further evident as she ended her tweet with a promise of "LOTS more international dates to come soon, promise!"

Joining Swift on these Latin American dates as the opening act is pop singer Sabrina Carpenter. The headliner affectionately referred to Carpenter as a "Sweet angel princess" in her social media post.

The addition of the Latin American shows brings The Eras Tour's total concert count to an impressive 60 across two legs, and there’s no saying how many more performances will be added before the whole thing is said and done. Originally scheduled to end in August in Los Angeles, CA, these new dates allow her a few weeks off before heading south.

Even as she embarks on this worldwide adventure, Swift continues to keep herself busy with various musical projects. Recently, she re-released her album Midnights with new tunes and reworked versions of several popular tracks. Her single "Karma" is also about to reach new heights on the Hot 100 next week thanks to a remix featuring rapper Ice Spice. Additionally, fans eagerly await the release of Taylor's Version of her older album Speak Now, which is set to arrive in July.
