Taylor Swift took to social media Wednesday to announce a third version of her latest album Midnights—titled the Til Dawn Edition—with three additional songs will be released “TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET” ahead of her Eras Tour shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in a surprising move from the pop star who has allured the pop culture landscape during her highly anticipated tour.

Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) will include all the tracks from the first two editions, along with two new versions of songs on the original album, but with more collaboration: “Karma (Feat. Ice Spice)” and “Snow On The Beach (Feat. More Lana Del Ray).”
The newest version of the album will also feature “Hits Different,” a song Swift released exclusively to those who bought the physical CD at Target when Midnights was first released in October 2022.
Swift also announced that a special edition CD—featuring the two new collaborative tracks along with a never-before-heard “From The Vault” track, “You’re Losing Me”—will be available to fans attending her Eras Tour shows in East Rutherford this weekend.
When Midnights was originally released in October, some fans criticized Swift for featuring Del Ray on a song in which she only sang back-up vocals and was hardly identifiable; Del Ray later said she wished she had sung the second verse of the song, but didn’t realize she was the only feature.
Swift’s new music comes as she’s in the middle of her highly-anticipated Eras Tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, in March. Ahead of the start of the Eras Tour, Midnights spent 13 weeks atop the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. East Rutherford will be Swift’s tenth stop on the 20-city tour, which is reviving lost tourism revenue for cities across the U.S. as thousands of fans flock to the places she’s performing. As a thank you for the revenue Swift is bringing in, some cities have engaged in a “friendly competition” to give her the most flattering honors, ranging from renaming the city after her to offering her symbolic mayorship for a day. The tour made headlines last year after Ticketmaster crashed during the pre-sale and temporarily suspended sales after fans waited for hours and tickets were oversold. Swift fans are still struggling to get tickets on the resale market, with tickets for Friday’s show starting at $2,205 on SeatGeek.
The announcement comes weeks after Swift shared the release date for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), a re-recording of her 2014 album. In 2019, Swift announced she would re-record her first six albums in an effort to own her own work after the master recordings were sold to a media company owned by Scooter Braun, a man Swift has accused of “incessant, manipulative bullying.” Braun has since defended himself against Swift’s allegations, saying he has “done nothing with malicious intent.” Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) will be available July 7.
