SpaceX, whose Falcon 9 rocket has been contracted to launch the lander designed by Houston-based Intuitive Machines, said it was “standing down” its launch attempt due to the temperature of the rocket’s methane fuel being “off-nominal.”
The launch of the IM-1 mission was supposed to take place an hour after midnight on Wednesday from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The rocket company said it will attempt another launch at 1:05 a.m. ET on Thursday.
