SpaceX will test its Starship rocket Thursday, marking the fourth test flight for the massive spacecraft that has yet to successfully reenter Earth’s atmosphere, as the Elon Musk-owned aerospace firm pushes to use reusable rockets for more frequent space travel.
The previous test flight ended as the spacecraft broke apart while reentering Earth’s atmosphere.
Starship and its Super Heavy booster will launch from SpaceX’s Texas site shortly after 8:50 a.m. EDT.
The company will broadcast Starship’s launch and its journey exclusively on X on SpaceX’s channel, Musk said.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
