Country singer Ingrid Andress said she was drunk during her National Anthem performance at the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night—which was roundly ridiculed on social media—and plans to check herself into rehab.

Andress offered an apology to the “MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much” in a statement posted to Instagram.

She said she will check herself into a facility today “to get the help I need,” quipping: “I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun” [sic].

Andress drew criticism for her performance, which was off-key and drew comparisons to other notorious National Anthem renditions, like Fergie’s performance at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game and Roseanne Barr’s at a 1990 MLB game.

This is a developing story that will continue to be updated.
