Biles’ all-around title at the World Championships on Friday was her sixth ever, giving her a total of 34 medals to surpass gymnast Vitaly Sherbo, who had held the record and competed for the Soviet Union, Russia and Belarus.
Biles, the 2022 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, is also the world’s eighth-highest-paid female athlete, making roughly $10 million as of December 2022, primarily outside of gymnastics, according to Forbes.
