Aaron Dyer, an attorney for Combs, the rapper and producer formerly known as P. Diddy and Puff Daddy, released a statement on Tuesday, arguing “there is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”
Dyer said the rapper was not detained in the search, but has cooperated with authorities, arguing the “unprecedented ambush” of his homes contributed to a “rush to judgment” that is “nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations.”
