The Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a suspicious package containing vials of blood was sent to the building, according to Capitol Police.

The package contained two vials of blood and was cleared by a hazardous materials team, according to Capitol Police, which issued an all-clear just after 9 a.m.
An investigation into the package’s source and its contents is ongoing, Capitol Police said.
The RNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

It was not immediately clear whether there were other items inside the package. Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., told other House Republicans during a closed-door meeting the package included “other stuff,” though Hudson did not specify what was found, USA Today reported. A police source told CNN the package also contained a Korean Bible and two ice packs.
