Billionaires, top Silicon Valley executives and international celebrities descended in the western Indian town of Jamnagar on Friday to attend a lavish pre-wedding gathering for the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest person.

The three-day celebration will be held in the coastal township in the state of Gujarat—home to the world’s largest oil refinery which is owned and operated by Ambani’s Reliance Industries.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates, whose multi-day visit to India has included a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be in attendance, while Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Meta chief and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg—both of whose companies have made significant investments in Reliance’s digital business—and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen will be among several high-profile attendees from Silicon Valley.
Also going is Disney CEO Bob Iger, who arrives in Jamnagar just days after his company announced the merger of its India business with Ambani’s Reliance Industries.
Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the chairman of Saudi oil giant Aramco and governor of the country’s sovereign wealth fund PIF—which invested $1.3 billion in Reliance’s retail business, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company CEO Sultan Al Jaber—whose company announced a $2 billion joint venture with Reliance in 2022—are also on the guest list.
Ivanka Trump, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will attend.
Business moguls from India including Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Sunil Mittal and members of the Godrej Family are also expected to attend.
Several celebrities will also be present at the pre-wedding bash. Singer Rihanna and Magician David Blaine are scheduled to perform at the wedding along with Bollywood stars. Prominent Indian film stars have arrived in Jamnagar to attend the event, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.
$9 million. That is the estimated amount Rihanna and her troupe are being paid to perform at the pre-wedding event.
Anant is the youngest of Ambani’s three children and he is set to marry fiancée Radhika Merchant in July. The Ambani family is no stranger to lavish weddings. In 2018, the billionaire’s older daughter Isha Ambani married Anand Piramal, the son of billionaire and pharma tycoon Ajay Piramal. Attendees at Isha’s pre-wedding celebration included Hillary Clinton, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and featured a 45-minute private performance by Beyonce. A year later, Isha’s twin Akash married Shloka Mehta and his pre-wedding bash featured a live performance by Coldplay. The wedding was also attended by several high-profile guests including former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and several celebrities and political leaders from India.
