While Monday’s theme was "Make America Wealthy Once Again," Tuesday’s programming will be centered around the tagline “Make America Safe Once Again.”
Speakers are expected to take aim at the Biden administration’s border policy and what the RNC is calling “the senseless crime spree and drug flow that plague America.”
Tuesday’s official programming will begin at 6 p.m. ET, but the RNC hasn’t announced an official list of speakers for the second day as of Tuesday morning.
The convention’s full slate of speakers includes Trump’s sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, conservative media personality Tucker Carlson, and elected officials from more than twenty states.
While Trump is not officially slated to speak at the convention Tuesday, he could make another surprise visit following his Monday evening appearance.
The convention kicked off Monday with a focus on economics and speakers including Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C. The party formally nominated Trump Monday afternoon, after Trump announced Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate. Trump also made his first major public appearance Monday night after an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. Trump, who arrived with a bandage over his right ear, is expected to speak at the convention’s final day on Thursday.
