


Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday, bringing an end to an illustrious career for the Super Bowl-winning pass rusher considered one of the best players in the role of his generation.

Donald said in a statement posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, he’s excited about “off the field possibilities” and thanked members of the Rams organization, which he began playing for in 2014 when the team was based in St. Louis.
Donald set the Rams career sacks record in 2021 and hit 100 career sacks the next year—reaching the mark faster than any defensive tackle in league history.
