Prince Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House, the London residence of his father, King Charles III, on Wednesday afternoon, multiple British outlets reported, in what could be the estranged father and son’s first face-to-face meeting since February 2024.
Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House at about 5:20 p.m. in London, or 12:20 p.m. EDT, according to video footage published by ITV News.
Rumors had swirled in British media this week that Harry, while on a rare visit to his native United Kingdom for charity outings, could meet with his father, which would mark their first meeting since Harry visited Charles following his cancer diagnosis in February 2024.
Harry has had a strained relationship with his family since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.
In an interview with the BBC in May, Harry said he would “love a reconciliation” with his family, stating there is “no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.”
Markle is not with Harry and remained in the United States with their children while Harry is in the United Kingdom, BBC reported.
No reason for the apparent meeting has been confirmed, and the BBC reported neither Buckingham Palace nor Harry’s representatives have confirmed that Harry and Charles are meeting.
