The Professional Fighters League is staying with ESPN. On Thursday, November 30, the organization and network confirmed the new multi-year deal that includes distribution on ESPN and ESPN+.

As part of the deal, ESPN will carry the PFL's pay-per-view Super Fight series, featuring the MMA debut of Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul. Neither man has an opponent or concrete date, but because of their star power, there figures to be a significant draw to the events when they compete.

PFL announced its acquisition of Bellator earlier this month and the plans for a February event that features both promotion's champions competing against each other. Also, if and when it is finalized, the long-awaited Cris Cyborg vs. Kayla Harrison will likely land on one of the upcoming ESPN PPV events.

The PFL seasons concept will also continue on ESPN with expanded coverage of the events leading up to championship night. The 2023 campaign wrapped up on November 24 with six fighters crowned as the year's champion in their weight class, claiming $1 million for their work. The 2023 campaign was the fifth season for PFL, and multiple fighters–including former UFC and current PFL star Derek Brunson- are drawn to the format.

The addition of Bellator's roster into the mix adds more intrigue for 2024 and beyond. In addition to PFL Super Fights, the traditional sports season format, and Bellator events, the PFL will continue to build its other brands, PFL MENA, PFL Europe, and the PFL Challenger Series.

"We've had five successful seasons on ESPN and we're excited for the next phase of growth for MMA and the Professional Fighters League with this agreement," PFL CEO Peter Murray said in a statement to ESPN. "Our innovative sport-season format, elite roster of athletes and the launch of the PFL PPV Super Fight Division are ushering in the new era of MMA as a mainstream global sports entertainment platform."

With the significant moves PFL has made in the past year, the promotion has aggressively secured a spot behind the UFC as the second-largest and perhaps the only other major global mixed martial arts organization in the world.
