Attorney General Pam Bondi has become the chief lightning rod for those on the right angered by the Department of Justice’s lack of new information regarding disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein—a subject of extensive right-wing conspiracies—with some calling for her firing.

While other top law enforcement officials—including FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino—have been accused of over-promising new information on Epstein, Bondi’s statement in a February Fox News interview that a so-called Epstein list of clients was on her desk has come under particular scrutiny after the Justice Department said in a memo Monday that no such list exists.

Megyn Kelly said Tuesday on her show she believes Bondi’s “days are numbered as a member of the Trump administration,” calling her handling of the initial release of federal government documents on the Epstein probe in February “lazy” after it failed to reveal any bombshell new details some on the right were hoping for.

Glenn Beck: Bondi “should resign—not because of a cover-up, but for incompetence,” Beck wrote Tuesday on X, criticizing the video footage the Justice Department released Monday of Epstein’s cell block in the hours before he was found dead, alleging the agency gave “a partial view of the facility.”

Laura Loomer: The Trump ally and controversial right-wing activist on Monday asked her X followers to call for Bondi’s resignation, referring to her as “Blondi” and asking “how many more times is this woman going to get away with Fing everything up before she is FIRED?”

Liz Wheeler: The conservative influencer called Bondi’s handling of the Epstein files “unforgivable behavior” during an appearance Monday on the Glenn Beck show and later called for her firing.

Keith and Kevin Hodge: Known as the Hodgetwins on social media, the conservative influencers tweeted, “Trump has to fire Pam Bondi” because “she went on camera and told the world she has the Epstein client list on her desk.”

Elon Musk also highlighted Bondi’s previous statement about the Epstein list on Monday when he suggested the Trump administration was slow-walking, or even lying, about the information it has on Epstein.

The Justice Department will not release any additional information on its investigation into disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, it said Monday in a memo that also concluded Epstein died by suicide and that no so-called “Epstein list” of clients exists. The far-right immediately responded, withconspiracy theorist Alex Jones calling the Justice Department memo “over the top sickening.”

The Trump administration has walked back Bondi’s previous statements about the so-called Epstein list. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday Bondi was referring to the entirety of the federal government’s documents related to its investigation into Epstein when she told Fox News “it’s sitting on my desk right now” when asked if the Justice Department would release a “list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients.”

Trump rejected questions from a reporter Tuesday about the Justice Department’s handling of the Epstein investigatory files, calling continued questions a “desecration.” Trump, however, has not directly defended Bondi and she was conspicuously left out of a Truth Social post earlier this week in which he praised Bongino and Patel, though he did not mention Epstein. Patel and Bongino had stoked conspiracies that the federal government was hiding information on Epstein and were heavily criticized in May when they said on Fox News they believe Epstein committed suicide, contradicting right-wing conspiracies that he was killed.
