Israel is reportedly trying to confirm if the second-highest ranking Hamas military leader was killed during an air strike over the weekend, multiple outlets reported, which would make him the highest-ranking Hamas official to be killed since the start of the war.
Marwan Issa may have been one of five people killed when Israel bombed the Al-Nuseirat camp in Gaza Saturday night, the Israeli Army Radio said according to Reuters.
Israeli officials are checking to see if the fatalities include Issa, according to Israeli newspaper Haaretz, as the Israeli military reportedly had intelligence that he was located in the camp.
Neither Hamas officials nor the Israeli military have confirmed news reports that Issa may have been killed.
