Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley pledged Tuesday to stay in the GOP primary contest at least until the primary in her home state at the end of February, moments after the New Hampshire GOP race was called for former President Donald Trump in what was widely seen as a crucial test for the future of her candidacy.

Haley congratulated Trump but told supporters in New Hampshire “the race is far from over,” promising to “keep moving up.”
Haley made the remarks moments after the Associated Press called the race for Trump less than an hour after polls began closing Tuesday, with Trump earning 53% of votes compared to Haley’s 47% with 24% of votes counted.
Trump responded to Haley’s promise to stay in the race by calling her “delusional” in a Truth Social post.
Haley placed third in the first contest of the 2024 election cycle, last week’s Iowa primary, where she earned 19% of votes compared to 21% for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (who dropped out of the race Sunday) and 51% for Trump.
