Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign raised $24 million in the fourth quarter of 2024, it announced Wednesday, more than doubling the $11 million she raised in the third quarter as her growing support in polls threatens Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ second place standing—but still makes her only a distant threat to Donald Trump.

Haley’s three campaign committees received contributions from 180,000 donors, including 83,900 new contributors, between October and December to start the new year with $14.5 million on hand, her campaign said.

Haley is the first GOP presidential contender to disclose their fourth quarter fundraising figures ahead of a Jan. 15 filing deadline.

Her haul comes as she has made inroads on DeSantis’ second place position, but still way behind former President Trump, in the GOP primary race and as a growing coalition of wealthy donors have coalesced behind her.

Haley has gained 3.5 points in polls since October, according to FiveThirtyEight’s polling average, a rise bolstered by well-received debate performances, a series of missteps by DeSantis and other candidates dropping out of the race. Trump still leads the field with 61% average support, followed by Haley and DeSantis, who are tied at 11%. Haley has racked up support in recent months from a growing number of wealthy donors, including some Democrats such as Linkedin co-founder Reid Hoffman, who are seeking to thwart Trump’s chances of securing the nomination.

Haley and Trump have both ramped up their attacks against each other as she has gained momentum in polls. A new ad from the Trump campaign in New Hampshire—where Haley is polling 18 points behind Trump and 18 points ahead of DeSantis, according to FiveThirtyEight—accuses her of wanting to raise taxes, dubbing her “Nikki ‘High Tax’ Haley.” She hit back at the allegations at a town hall in New Hampshire Tuesday, where she told attendees everything Trump said “has been a lie.”

Haley and DeSantis will participate in a debate hosted by CNN on January 10 from Des Moines, Iowa. Aside from Trump, they were the only two candidates to qualify for the stage. Trump will continue his trend of skipping debates and instead participate in a Fox News town hall.
