The NFL wife whose team-inspired fashion designs went viral last year thanks to the support of super celebrities like Taylor Swift and Simone Biles says she got so busy in the months leading up to signing her eventual licensing deal with the NFL that she had to turn down a request from now-presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.

Kristin Juszczyk, whose husband Kyle plays for the San Francisco 49ers, told Fox News that she got a request from Harris, a fan of the team, for a piece of custom clothing leading up to the Super Bowl.

At the time, she had "no help and no ways of being able to make more stuff," she said, and had to turn down the request from the sitting vice president of the United States.

The moment sticks out as a true sign for the young designer that things were "going crazy" for her, she said, and since then she’s signed an apparel licensing deal with the NFL.

Last season saw her designs worn by Swift, Simone Biles, Brittany Mahomes and Olivia Culpo, all of whom are also married to or dating NFL players.

"During the Super Bowl, I got a text from my agent, and that’s when things were going crazy,” Juszczyk said. “He was like, ‘Hey, the vice president wants a jacket.’ I’m like, ‘What company?’ He’s like, ‘The country,'" she said.

Juszczyk's handmade, one-of-a-kind gameday outfits generated a ton of buzz on social media after the famous names were seen sporting her looks at post-season games. She'd been sewing her own looks to wear to her husband's games for years, but Swift wearing one to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce, was the moment she skyrocketed to the mainstream. Her social media following has grown to 1.1 million Instagram followers and more than 435,000 on TikTok, where she shows off the designs she makes and gives tutorials for how to spruce up a game-day outfit. She's spent up to 30 hours making a single custom piece, and her licensing deal with the NFL gives her the right to use NFL logos in her designs going forward. Her husband and social media hype man Kyle Juszczyk has said his wife is still figuring out exactly what the next steps in production are for her business, but that her designs “will be available eventually” to the public.
