Manuel Garcia-Rulfo has gotten his wish. He will return as Mickey Haller for season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer. Netflix made the announcement today, proclaiming "court is back in session!"

The third season will consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Gods of Guilt.

According to Netflix, the second season of the popular series, which debuted July 6, 2023, quickly climbed up the Netflix Global Top 10 with a cumulative 40 million views as of August 29, 2023, reaching the Top 10 in 81 countries.

Among the cast members who will reprise their roles: Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco) and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann).

Showrunners and co-executive producers Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey will also be back for the next chapter. Also back as executive producers: David E. Kelley, Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson.

"Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez have taken us deeper into Mickey Haller's world, building out characters and stories that have connected with our global audience, and we look forward to seeing what they have in store for everyone's favorite lawyer," says Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada. "The show continues to top our global lists and it's a testament to the work from a creative powerhouse team including Michael Connelly, David E. Kelley, Ross Fineman and our partners at A+E Studios."

Netflix's renewal comes despite no resolution in sight to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which has indefinitely halted all production.
