Elon Musk expressed regret about some of the posts he made on X last week, bashing President Donald Trump early on Wednesday, marking a significant climb down by the billionaire who triggered a feud with the president last week by bashing his signature spending bill.
Elon Musk said he regrets his posts attacking President Donald Trump last week.
In a post on X, Musk wrote: “I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week,” adding that “They went too far.”
The billionaire’s latest post is the first time where he has directly expressed regret about his flurry of posts attacking Trump last week.
Over the weekend, the billionaire appeared to signal that he was backing away from the feud by first quietly deleting incendiary tweets alleging that Trump’s name was in “Epstein files” and another one endorsing Trump’s impeachment.
The billionaire has also signaled support for the Trump administration’s response to the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, as he reshared a Truth Social post by Trump attacking California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
This is a developing story.
