


There are “multiple serious injuries” after a stolen 18-wheeler crashed into a Texas Department of Public Safety building Friday, officials said, as local police believe the incident may have been intentional.
A stolen 18-wheeler crashed into the Texas Department of Public Safety building in Brenham, Texas, at about 10:41 a.m. Friday, DPS officials told local news affiliate ABC13.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office told KHOU that law enforcement believes the crash was an “intentional, criminal act.”
Montgomery County, Texas Judge Mark Keough wrote on Facebook the crash was a “mass casualty incident,” claiming the crash was “intentional” by a suspect who was denied a commercial driver’s license on Thursday and returned “with intent to harm.”
The Texas DPS said Texas Rangers were investigating the incident, adding a suspect had been arrested.
How many people were injured in the crash. The Texas DPS said a press conference will be held later Friday to provide updated information about the incident.
Brenham, Texas, is about 70 miles northwest of Houston with a population of nearly 20,000 people, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
