A massive fire broke out Monday morning at an apartment building in Miami, according to local media reports, resulting in multiple people receiving medical treatment—including two firefighters—while a man was reportedly found shot inside the building, though it is unclear if the incident is related to the fire.

Miami Fire Rescue said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that firefighters are still working on containing the three-alarm fire as of just after 12:15 p.m., and evacuated residents are being assisted by the Miami Police Department and Red Cross.
Two firefighters were taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion, along with some residents—and others were reportedly treated at the scene.
The Miami Police Department urged the public to avoid the Lumus Park area near the building in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Representatives for the Miami Fire Department did not immediately respond to Forbes’ request for comment.
CBS Miami reported the man who was shot is now in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
