Marcus Rashford has signed a new contract with Manchester United to extend his stay at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028.
The England striker had been negotiating with the club for several months, but both parties have now finally reached agreement on a deal that is understood to be worth around £325,000 a week and makes him one of United’s highest paid players.
The Wythenshawe-born Rashford came up through United’s academy system before making his first team debut in February 2016. He has since scored 123 goals in 359 appearances.
A year ago Rashford’s future at United was uncertain after he had only scored 5 goals throughout the entire 2021-22 season.

But last season the 25-year-old striker rebounded with his best ever campaign for United in which he scored 30 goals in 56 games under the club’s new manager Erik ten Hag, and was rewarded with the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year awards

After the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea and the imminent arrival of Andre Onana from Inter Milan, United are delighted to also have secured Rashford’s services.
After scoring 30 goals last season Rashford had offers from other clubs in both the Premier League and abroad but he was persuaded to remain at Old Trafford by how Ten Hag has helped to revive his career in the last twelve months
