Video on social media shows a phone being thrown from the audience during a concert at venue Pier 17 in New York City and hitting Rexha mid-performance in the face.

The New York City Police Department told multiple news organizations that Malvagna was arrested and charged for the incident.

Police confirmed that she was taken by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition.

Rexha posted an update on instagram saying “Im good,” alongside photos that shows her face with an apparent black eye and bandaged stitches.

Malvagna could not be reached for comment—it is not clear if he is being represented by an attorney.

If this will affect Rexha’s upcoming shows. Rexha is scheduled to perform in Philadelphia on Tuesday, in Silver Spring, Maryland on Wednesday and Atlanta on Friday, according to her tour webpage.

Rexha, an American singer and songwriter, was on her "Best F’n Night of My Life Tour.” Rexha has generated more than 3.25 billion streams on her music and collaborated on some huge hits, including G-Eazy’s “Me, Myself and I”, and Eminem’s “The Monster,” which she earned a songwriting credit on. In 2018, she was named to Forbes’ 30 under 30 music list.
