“The Watchers,” starring Dakota Fanning, will be the first film directed by 22-year-old Ishana Shyamalan, whose famous father M. Night Shyamalan is behind horror flicks like "The Sixth Sense," "Signs" and "Unbreakable."

M. Night Shyamalan is a producer on the project, which also stars Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan and Olwen Fouéré as strangers trapped in an Irish forest who are stalked by horrific creatures when night falls.

This isn't the first time M. Night and Ishana Shyamalan have teamed up on a project; the younger wrote 10 and directed six episodes of M. Night's Apple TV+ series "The Servant," and was the second unit director for his movies "Old" and "Knock at the Cabin."

With her upcoming film, Ishana Shyamalan joins a list of other directors who followed their parents to the job, including the bosses behind stand-out films like “The Notebook,” “When Harry Met Sally” and “Up In The Air.”
