In September 2019, two of Lori Vallow Daybell’s children, Joshua Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 16, went missing, not to be found until June 2020 when they were discovered buried in shallow graves in the Rexburg, Idaho, backyard of Chad Daybell, her fifth and current husband.
Lori Vallow Daybell was convicted of their murders as well as conspiracy to commit the murder of Tammy Daybell, her husband’s ex-wife, and grand theft in May.
In the trial, witness testimony revealed that Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell were deeply entrenched in doomsday belief, and were paranoid about zombies and demonic possession they believed they saw all around them.
The two reportedly believed the children had been possessed by demons, according to testimony at that trial.
