


Former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said during a Duke University event Wednesday she will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, doubling down on her public opposition of former President Donald Trump, which had yet to include an endorsement of one of his competitors.

Cheney made the remarks during an event at Duke’s Page Auditorium and said she will be voting for Harris “because of the danger that Donald Trump poses.”
Cheney said she “thought deeply” about her vote, noting her identity as a conservative and saying voters “do not have the luxury of writing in candidates' names, particularly in swing states.”
