Nearly 30 years after rapper Tupac Shakur was murdered in a drive-by shooting, authorities in Nevada confirmed on Tuesday they served a search warrant in connection with the killing, one of the biggest unsolved murders in U.S. history.
Police in Nevada conducted a search warrant in connection with the murder of Tupac Shakur in 1996.
Police executed the search warrant in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nevada, on Monday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to news outlets.
The warrant comes nearly three decades after Shakur, one of the most influential rappers of his generation, was murdered on the night of September 7, 1996 at the age of 25.
Nevada does not have a statute of limitations on homicide cases.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
